From 7 to 9 March Sofia will become again a meeting center of local and international companies that will present their products and solutions for cleaner energy, greener cities and better quality buildings. The event of Via Expo is a positive signal of the growing role of business in building energy-efficient and sustainable economy as a response to the climate changes.

Companies from Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, and Czech Republic are among the applied exhibitors as of now.

The organizer expects firms from Greece , Slovenia , Poland , the Netherlands, Switzerland and France to join the exhibitions. There will be also Norwegian Pavilion at the Smart Cities exhibition.

Here there is a short resume on the products of some of the participants: ■ NIBE - one of the leading European manufacturers of home heating systems - will present its high-tech solutions for heating, ventilation, cooling and heat recovery. ■ Eltrak Bulgaria will participate with its equipment for cogeneration plants and developments in its product range - hybrid systems for autonomous power supply ■ company Filter Group - engineering solutions for installation and service of CHP installations with gas engines; cooling towers and fluid coolers; burners, combustion management systems, energy efficient solutions■ company Belfrie will display modern equipment for industrial and agricultural installations for the extraction, purification, storage and utilization of biogas, landfill gas and other combustible gases. ■ Austrian exhibitor HERZ will show its range of economical and ecological heating systems; its most advanced pellet and wood chip heaters, log wood boilers and heat pumps. ■ The German company AMANDUS KAHL, which is very strong in biomass pelleting, will also showcase pelleting of domestic waste at the SEE Exhibition.

■ Falcom is going to participate for a second consecutive year in Smart Cities. The German leading developer and manufacturer will present its M2M solutions for Smart Metering, SCADA, Home Automation, Automated Vehicle Location, Asset Monitoring and Telematics Applications, independent web-based tracking platform(D2Sphere) for the management of devices and the analysis of data obtained. ■Italian company INNOVA will present services and applications in the infomobility sector, and more specifically, in systems based on GPS satellite navigation and GALILEO. At SEE Smart Cities Exhibition INNOVA will demenostrate INNOVAMBIENTE - a solution for the Management of Urban Waste Collection based on cloud technology.

The parallel Conferences are additional opportunity for obtaining actual information on the latest trends, laws and perspectives.

In the Conference Program of the 5th SEE Smart Cities, Sofia Office of Innovation Norway will organize for the second time two-hour Panel . The focus in 2017 will be on e-health with the following highlights: Elements of e-health ecosystem; What are the success factors of e-health initiatives; Emerging solutions for digital health ecosystem. Experts from Norway and Bulgaria will present policies and good practices under the subtopics of the Panel.

Innovation Norway Sofia is among the prominent and valuable partners of SEE Smart Cities. Through this partnership the event has development and researched topics, important for the country, its smart advance and innovations implementation.

Among the other highlights of Smart Cities’17 Conference program are:

The SEE Conference on EE & RE’17 will highlight on:

Experts from European Geothermal Energy Council,International Geothermal Association,Romanian Geo Exchange Society, Bulgarian Heat Pumps Association will deliver speeches on the topics:

■ Geothermal Energy in Cities: Good Practices and Perspectives; Discover Shallow Geothermal; Geothermal Heat Pumps.

The other topics of SEE EE & RE Program are:■Energy Union Governance and the Smart and Clean Energy Package: Opportunities for South East Europe will be presented by Eurelectric representative.■ Co -Financing of Projects, delivered by European Investment Bank expert■National Biomass Association of Bulgaria will participate with BioRES project : Centers for Logistics and Biomass Trade - Concept for Creation of Sustainable Regional Supply of Wood Biomass. ■ Balkanika Energy representative will speak on the Project OrbEEt – Organizational Behaviour Improvement for Energy Efficient Administrative Public Offices .
